JDA's Junior Curling Program Grades 2 - 6, Session - 1

THE SEXSMITH JUNIOR CURLING Thanks you for your interest in our Junior Curling Program!! Our team of coaches is gearing up for a super fun season. We LOVE seeing all the interest many kids have expressed, which speaks to the fun we have and the amazing support we receive from our club and community. *Start Date: Tuesday, November 4th - Tuesday December 16th. (No class November 11, 2025) @ 5:30 - 6:30 pm *Our program runs the same days as school, so if the public school system has a no school = no curling. This also means we cancel curling on horrible weather/ driving days to keep our people safe…so if Sexsmith buses are cancelled, curling is cancelled. **This year, our program will run for 6 Tuesdays, ending December 16th. This is Session 1; we will be continuing with Session 2 in the new year (2025). Parents, also be aware that as the weeks go on, if we discover children who have more experience and need more of a challenge, we may be splitting classes up, so your child may have to move to a different time slot. But that will also be discussed between you and your child. We follow the Curling Alberta Guideline for Junior Curling Programs….
To participate in the program: • We have a lot of interest again this year and a limited space. If your child decides that curling is not their sport, no problem. • Your child needs a clean pair of indoor shoes, VERY, VERY, VERY clean! • The club provides safe sliders and brooms, and there is protective headgear available. We have a very strict rule: no headgear, NO curling! • There is a limited number of rental shoes for those more experienced players. If interested, please email • Cost is $70/ curler. Shoes are $30/ season to rent with a $100/deposit cheque that is kept in case of damage/or loss. Fees and shoe rentals have to be paid before the 1st day of curling. (Any deposit chq’s for rental shoes will have to be brought on the first day before shoes are released.) • We accept Cash, Check, or EMT to the email stated below. We are all about FUN! Every person you see helping on the ice is a volunteer parent!!
